The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) [DVCR] is responsible for the development and strategic enhancement of Macquarie University's research, research training, and innovation profile as well as the creation, support and advancement of local, national and international research collaborations and partnerships.
The PVC Research Performance and Innovation Portfolio aims to sustain and grow the university’s research profile through the development and implementation of strategies to build research innovation, capacity and capability and leverage commercialisation opportunities.
We are currently seeking a suitably qualified part-time Administration Officer in the newly created Data Science and eResearch team. Reporting to the Project Manager, Data Science and eResearch and providing support to the Director, Data Science and eResearch, you will:
- Provide administrative support for the Data Science and eResearch functions, projects, activities and/or events
- Provide ‘Personal Assistant’ support to the Director and administration support to the Project Manager
- Provide secretariat support for the Data Science and eResearch Advisory Group
- Coordinate and provide support for events, training, functions and activities including room bookings, speakers, registrations, catering and follow up surveys

- Certificate in business administration and/or equivalent experience.
- Working in administration
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office and internet

Salary Package: from $67,625 - $76,886 per annum (pro rata) (HEW Level 5), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading
