Professional and Community Engagement (PACE) is a University-wide initiative designed to provide undergraduate students with experiential learning opportunities with a range of local, regional and international partners. By completing a PACE unit, students contribute to partner organisational goals and develop skills and capabilities while gaining academic credit towards their degree.
The PACE initiative is a key differentiator of the University’s curriculum for current and potential students. PACE units offer activities at local and regional or international level. International activities are delivered in two streams: Professional Engagement opportunities and Community Development opportunities. Units from all faculties are offered across both streams.
The PACE International team is seeking a suitably qualified program coordinator for the Professional Engagement stream to establish relationships with professional organisations (for example, corporate, industry or university partners) and be responsible for the development and implementation of PACE International programs and activities. A proven track record in working with professional organisations to establish internships or work integrated learning opportunities for students and/or recent graduates would be highly desirable.
The primary responsibilities of the role include: developing partner engagement strategies and protocols and implementing the protocols with international partners and in country providers; identifying, assessing and recommending new partner opportunities aligned to PACE International strategy; establishing, driving and maintaining relationships with key external stakeholders; implementing risk assessment and mitigation protocols; and collaborating with Unit Convenors and Faculty PACE teams to understand academic requirements and priorities to ensure appropriate partner selection, activity identification and student allocation.

- Sound understanding of international partnership principles and how these principles can be applied to placement programs for students.
- Experience in an international partnerships environment with professional organisations, particularly in establishing internships.
- Demonstrated experience in project coordination in a complex organisation, using judgement creativity and initiative to deliver project outcomes.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders together with demonstrated cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, adapting style and approach according to audience.
- Understanding of risk assessment and management.
- Demonstrated understanding of University governance and regulatory framework

Position Description: PACE International Program Coordinator
Appointment Type: Full-time, 12 months fixed-term. For the right candidate, a part time appointment will be considered if requested.

Salary Package: from $87,699 - $95,084 p.a. or the pro-rata equivalent for part time (Level 7), plus employer's superannuation and annual leave loading
