Working collaboratively with unit convenors and clinical educators, this role involves designing and delivering evidence-based clinical skills training within a range of educational programs. In this role, you will work with stakeholders to embed clinical and procedural skills teaching, training and assessment for the Macquarie MD program in a variety of teaching environments including master classes, peer-to-peer examinations and simulation workshops.
The role will also involve liaison with relevant stakeholders to identify and extend MQ Health’s profile for clinical skills training and increase awareness of our simulation facility.
Seeking a passionate healthcare professional with experience in delivering clinical skills training to medical students and post-certification health professionals. You will have the ability to engage with participants of different clinical skill levels and be able to build and maintain strong relationships with students, academic staff and external stakeholders. You will bring to the role an understanding of, or experience with, the delivery of modern clinical assessment modalities with an ability to add value to the procedural training components of our educational programs to optimise learning outcomes for students.

- Educational qualifications and registration to practice as a health professional such as nursing, medicine or allied health professional.
- Extensive experience in clinical education with a demonstrated ability to develop, deliver and evaluate clinical educational programs, including using simulation.
- Understanding of, and commitment to quality improvement in medical education and an ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to optimise learning outcomes for students.
- Familiarity or experience with the delivery of modern clinical assessment modalities including MiniCEx, DOPS (Direct Observation of Procedural Skills), OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Assessment) and/or TMEX (Team Exercise).
- Well-developed leadership and communication skills including negotiation and problem solving.
- Knowledge and application of professional and ethical standards.
