- Salary Package: Lecturer (Level B), from $101,877 to $120,537 p.a. or Senior Lecturer (Level C) $124,392 - $143,051 p.a., plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading (pro-rated for part-time appointments)

We are seeking a dynamic Lecturer or Senior Lecturer with scholarly expertise in physiotherapy to contribute to a range of teaching and research programs in human movement, physiotherapy and/or human movement. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and enhance curricula, teach and convene units at a postgraduate level, while supervising Higher Degree Research students, conducting collaborative research projects and participating in initiatives and committees that support the academic mission of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences within MQ Health.
You will also be expected to engage with relevant industry partners and make an active contribution to the promotion and development of the physiotherapy discipline, Department of Health Professions and the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Ideally this position will be offered on a full-time basis, however candidates interested in a part-time role (≥0.6FTE) are welcome to apply.
You will be a qualified physiotherapist with a PhD or qualifications in a physiotherapy specialisation and a completed post-graduate Physiotherapy degree. You will have embarked on successfully undertaking high-quality research in a relevant area involving impactful research outcomes in line with MQ Health’s integrated approach to healthcare, with the aim of delivering high-quality patient and community outcomes. You will have developed innovative approaches to teaching in both the classroom and clinical learning environments. Your collaborative approach to working with others will ensure you perform effectively within an inter-disciplinary environment. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to effectively supervise Doctor of Physiotherapy and Higher Degree Research students undertaking clinical research projects.

Essential criteria – Level B and C:
- A PhD (or near completion) in a relevant discipline; or physiotherapy specialisation and/or completion of a post-graduate degree in Physiotherapy
- Registration (or ability to gain registration) with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in musculoskeletal, neurological or cardiorespiratory physiotherapy and one or more of the following areas of physiotherapy: sports, paediatrics, gerontology, occupational health, women's health, evidence-based practice, professional practice, interprofessional practice, leadership, business management, health policy and advocacy, pain management, health promotion and chronic disease management
- A well-articulated research agenda and a track record of good quality publications relevant to stage of career
- Demonstrated academic knowledge in the discipline and a commitment and capability to deliver high quality learning and teaching, including the design, delivery, and management of lectures, tutorials, and assessment
- Demonstrated experience in making a useful contribution to the academic life and administrative tasks of the Department with a track record of effective teamwork.
Essential criteria - Level C:
- Evidence of high quality learning and teaching and teaching innovation
- A demonstrated ability to attract internal and external funding for research and a record of competitive grant success and/or industry partnerships/collaborations
- Experience in supervising higher degree research students in areas relevant to physiotherapy
- Ability to contribute to undergraduate teaching and expertise in one of more of the following areas: biomechanics, exercise physiology and health behaviour change.
- Experience in research and/or clinical supervision
