The Role

This is a newly created role for the Academy of Continuing Professional Development in Education (ACPDE) to provide project management support and coordination for the ACPDE’s projects. ACPDE projects include the development and implementation of professional development accredited course for teachers. You will work with academic staff in the Department of Education and industry partners to coordinate these projects within timelines and budgets.

This part time role is needed for 14 hours per week, working across 3 weekdays. We are open to finding a roster arrangement that meets your needs and allows you to achieve work-life balance.

About You

You will have expertise in project management and will apply your knowledge of project management principles and methodologies to this role. You enjoy working with a range of stakeholders and are able to successfully keep them on track to achieve project deliverables on time. Your organisation and prioritisation skills are impeccable, and you are apt in using technology effectively in your daily work.

The Academy of Continuing Professional Development in Education (ACPDE) within the Department of Educational Studies has been established to enable the implementation of Macquarie’s strategic provision of continuing professional learning for teachers – working with Macquarie University stakeholders and external partners.

Essential

  • Demonstrated experience planning, organising and successfully implementing projects or events
  • Proven success building and managing stakeholder relationships
  • Demonstrated understanding of adult learning, professional development, training and assessment and/or educational programs and the specifics related to the project coordination of such programs
  • A Degree and/or relevant experience in business, administration or related discipline
