The Roles

We are currently seeking academics across all levels to join our growing Department within the newly established Macquarie Business School. About Us

The Department of Economics is highly engaged with national and international scholars, industry professional bodies and leading businesses. These global networks enhance our research and ensure our teaching programs deliver the vital skills for employability in an ever-changing world.

We offer applied economics teaching programs that openly address questions that are relevant at the societal level. In addressing teaching goals we specifically ask What types of methodologies and tools do we need to accurately explain economic epochs in the past and present? What models and policy approaches can lead to prosperity for all?” Our core focus is bringing organisations and communities together, enabling you to develop a broad understanding of how economics affects people’s lives. Through broad interdisciplinary projects and research, the department hopes to make a positive global contribution and help society understand the world we live in through an economic lens.

At the Macquarie Business School, we are a highly engaged business school, applying our knowledge to make a positive impact on our stakeholders. Working with our corporate partners, students and alumni, we create and share research that addresses business and societal challenges. We attract independent thinkers from all corners of the globe and draw on our international connections to improve the lives of communities worldwide. Our courses are recognised by key industry bodies.
