  • Salary Package: From $85,148 to $93,989 (HEW Level 6), plus 17% employer’s superannuation contribution and annual leave loading
  • Appointment Types: Full-time, fixed-term for 2 years

The Role

We are seeking an experienced, articulate and professional person to provide support to the Vice-President, Strategy, Planning and Performance (VPSPP). You will ensure the efficient management of the day-to-day operations of the office, provide secretariat and administrative support to the VPSPP and the VPSPP Leadership team, and maintain appropriate levels of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.

This is a new, diverse portfolio and you will have exceptional organisational skills and be confident in determining priorities in an environment of tight and demanding deadlines. You will be flexible and resilient in your approach, demonstrating ability to build and manage relationship and a strong service focus to meet the requirements of the portfolio.

You will be a strong communicator and able to demonstrate tact and discretion in dealing with a range of confidential and sensitive issues, effectively communicating with a diverse clientele including senior management and members of the Executive Group

About You

You will work with minimum supervision, show initiative and anticipate requirements, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met. With prior experience in a fast-paced Executive Assistant role, you will have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and keen attention to detail. You will have superb organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks. You will also possess advanced Microsoft Office skills and have strong experience in providing administrative support, diary and travel management services in a high-volume environment.

The Vice-President, Strategy, Planning and Performance (VPSPP) holds executive responsibility for the development and execution of university strategy, cross-institutional planning, and oversight of whole of University Group performance.

The VPSPP supports the Vice-Chancellor, Executive Group and University Council in ensuring the long-term sustainability and strategic direction of the University and its group subsidiaries.

  • Demonstrated skills and experience in providing administrative and secretarial support to a senior executive, including all office, travel, and diary management activities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage confidential matters with discretion.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills including the capacity to work autonomously, manage conflicting priorities to meet demanding deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, analyse and resolve administrative issues and problems, ensuring appropriate and effective outcomes.
