  • Macquarie University (North Ryde) location

The Role 

We are seeking a qualified Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join a team with an international reputation for producing high quality research on Web technologies, data analytics, and Internet of Things.

The Department of Computing is located on a beautiful, serene and green campus in northern Sydney.

About the Project

You will undertake research related to the Internet of Things. You will have completed a PhD, or thesis submitted, within a discipline that is relevant to the areas of computer science. You will be experienced in data analytics, Web technologies, data mining, machine learning, and knowledge discovery.

Essential

  • A PhD in Computer Science or a closely related discipline (or thesis submitted)
  • Demonstrated research excellence in computing as evidenced by ongoing publications in top tier journals and conferences in data analytics, data mining, Web technologies, machine learning, and knowledge discovery
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders

Desirable

  • Experience in supervision of PhD students
  • Experience in grant proposal development
